Fat transfer to the face is an excellent way to correct changes caused by aging. Permanent results are possible with fat transfer: the remaining fat does not disappear over time like other fillers.

To whom is fat transfer to the face suitable for?

Fat transfer to the facial area can be used to treat changes caused by facial aging. "Hollows" and dimples caused by tissue sagging can be filled with small fat transfers. The most common area for correction is the groove between the lower eyelids and cheeks, which deepens with age.

How is fat transfer performed?

Fat is usually taken from under the navel under local anaesthesia and transferred to the desired location on the face. Swelling and bruising usually disappear within a couple of weeks, and the final result can be seen after a couple of months. Some of the fat will adhere to the transferred area and some will be lost. The final result is individual and cannot be predicted in advance. The fat transfer can be repeated if necessary.

The price of the procedure also includes one follow-up visit with the doctor, as well as any necessary visits for suture removal or wound care. Any laboratory tests or imaging studies are not included in the price of the procedure.
